We were so thankful to not have school Friday. We were looking forward to sleeping in and not having to do anything we didn't want to.... that changed when Kenya jumped on us at 7:30 to let her out and feed her. We hoped that she would go back to bed and let us sleep but that was not the case. So when I finally got up around 8 this was the scene I discovered...The culprit: Reggie

It took me over an hour to untangle all the yarn and I haven't finished with the brown yarn yet. I was getting frustrated by that time.
As evening came it was beautiful and sunny although a bit cold. Timo and the dog were playing in the back yard and the cats were whining at the screen door desperately wanting to go outside. Being the nice owner that I am, I decided to let them enjoy a few minutes of freedom. Reggie rushed outside and went straight for the grass where she began to eat every blade she should find.

Avery spent at least 10 minutes peeking out from the screen wondering if it's safe to come out.

When she finally did come out it took her at least another 5-10 minutes to make it to the edge of the deck.

She did eventually get off the deck and started munching on the tall grass right next to the edge of the deck. Curiosity is not going to kill this kitty. I did turn my back on her for a minute or two to keep an eye on Reggie (who may be in danger of curiosity) and when I looked back Avery was gone. After looking for her and calling for her for what seemed like forever we realized that she can fit between the fence and the edge of the deck and had made her way under the deck. When I finally coaxed her out she was dirty and covered in spider webs. She wasn't very happy and seemed relieved to be back inside.
Kenya decided it was her job to keep an eye on Reggie and maybe if she was lucky Reggie would be willing to play ball with her. Sad to say, Kenya was disappointed.

We then went out to some friends of ours for a bbq and got to bring the dog. I thought about bringing the camera and am kicking myself for talking myself out of it. They live out in the country had another dog that Kenya could play with so they were in heaven runing around where ever they wanted. They also have two young cows that Kenya thought were amazing and had a blast chasing around every where. I don't think they were nearly as excited about her as she was about them. Timo had to hold her because she couldn't control herself. I got to bottle feed the younger cow which for a small town girl like me was a blast to do. (I fed the brown one)

Our friends spoiled her royally giving her treats, leting her run around their beautiful house and she even got some of the leftover dinner which she repaid them by being gassy during our game of quarters that we played. (Which Timo and I won 5 times in a row and left with at least 15 bucks!) I was a little embarrassed about that since there were quite a few people at the house by this time. But Kenya had a blast and it was nice to get out and actually be feeling good for once. :)
