6 Weeks

That's right... 6 weeks.
6 weeks of coughing, snot, grumpy kids, grumpy parents, sneezing, tears, sleepless nights, sinus infections, ear infections, and viruses.  It's felt like a million plagues.  It's gone on way too long. I'm sick of doctor's offices (we've been there once a week for 4 weeks) and I feel like I should get a punch card saying "10th visit free!"

I'm ready for healthy kids and for healthy adults.  I'm ready to get out of this house without feeling guilty that we're probably infecting the entire world with our germs.  I'm ready to see friends again.  I'm ready for nice weather.  I'm ready to not have to wipe noses or even suction them out.

This is what I've learned over the past 6 weeks:

1. I can survive on less total sleep than when I had newborns

2. Our queen sized bed can fit 4 people and 2 cats when necessary

3.  Getting a baby to take Tylenol is torture for everyone involved

4. There really isn't anything on tv at 3 am

5. The house gets amazingly messy when the kids take all of your attention

6. Snuggling and movies go a long way

7.  Nap time is Heaven

8. Too much Eucalyptus oil in the bath when you can't smell isn't a good thing

9. Chocolate doesn't fix all things, no matter how much I want it to

 10.  This too shall pass, and it looks like it's starting to!!

And with that, I'll leave you with my cute kids...
