Today was conferences at the school which meant no school for students and subs but a 12 hour day for teachers. So, Kenya and I had the day to ourselves. We should have spent the day packing and cleaning but I wasn't feeling very well so it meant lots of laying on the couch and snuggling with a little bit of cleaning thrown in. I did rearrange my dining room a little bit (which meant moving the table) and did a little bit of decorating for Christmas. I figured it was okay since we wouldn't be home the day after Thanksgiving and I couldn't go overboard because Timo has conveniently blocked all the Christmas boxes in the shed so I have to wait for him to get them out.

I'm really excited to go to my parents for Thanksgiving this year. I don't know why I'm more excited than usual, but for some reason this year I have been looking forward to the holiday season since September. This will be the first time we have Thanksgiving as the entire Lyons/Van Voorst family, with all of the additions. It's going to be so nice to be together and so much fun.

I turned and shrunk our table so it didn't take up as much room. I need something bigger in the right hand corner but as soon as I get into all my Christmas stuff this will look better!
