State Track

2010 Clatskanie Track Team

Last weekend was the state track meet at Western Oregon University.  Every year Timo's team is getting better and better.  He was able to take 4 more kids than last year, 12 total and had the most placings they have had in years!  For the second year in a row Timo was named "Coach of the Year" and his boys' team were district champions.  It's pretty amazing how his team is doing and we're so proud of him and the kids for doing so well!!

I think all of the kids placed except two this year which is amazing and makes me excited to see what will happen next year.

The weather was absolutely horrible this year so Will and I didn't get to go to the track meet that and the fact that it cost $10 to get in and I wasn't going to sit in the cold rainy weather for an hour or so with a baby and wasn't going to mess up his naps just to get my money's worth.  Since I wasn't there I didn't get to take any awesome action shots or pictures of Timo coaching.  Thankfully some of the other coaches did get some shots so I could at least use them for the blog. Next better be have nicer weather so I can go watch for a little bit and get some good photos of my own.
