Timo likes to play a game called "Mush Ball" in PE. It's basically softball with peg outs and apparently, if you hit the runner in the head it's worth 2 outs. Timo is the PE teacher that turns kids off to PE just so he can satisfy his need to hit kids with the ball. He says he only hits the athletic boys though... Whatever.
So I was secretly a little glad when he came home last Friday with his first black eye since teaching. A high school boy hit a line drive at Timo (he insists on pitching) which Timo decided to catch with his face instead of his hands. The boys thought it was hilarious that Timo developed an instant black eye (it happened 1st period) and the rest of the day he was asked if he talked back to me or if Will beat him up.
Maybe next time Timo will learn to catch or at least stand back.
