As I sit here thinking about what I want to write about (and once again feeling guilty that it's been so long since I last blogged) I am downloading over 300 pictures that I've taken this summer. So it's not like I don't have pictures or stories to go with my blogs... I don't know what the deal was. I had an abundance of time and it all slipped away from me. So, here I am again... wondering if I should condense my summer in one or two blogs, or tell you stories that are months old. I could pretend that this all happened within the last few weeks but that would be lying and since I already broke my promise to be a better blogger, I don't really want to add liar to the list. Hopefully being cooped up at home watching the weather change will bring me some time to start blogging again. OR someone could buy me a laptop and I could blog while I watch Will play and our problem would be solved. My birthday is coming up... (hint hint).
For today I do have a blog that is relevant and continuing so I'll start my backlog of blogs with this one...
One of the things I've loved most about this summer has been being able to make food for Will. I don't know what it is about it but I almost feel like "Suzy Homemaker" accomplishing something big. It's not even like it's hard or very time consuming... it's just fun for me. Plus, I saved bucko bucks making food for him rather than buying it somewhere and I knew exactly what was going into his food. Not that I always fed him homemade stuff, he had store bought stuff but I can happily say that 80-90% of his food has been made by me.
So far, I've learned to make/freeze/blend...
- Yams and Sweet Potatoes
- Blueberries
- Baked Peaches and Nectarines
- Zucchini and Squash
- Carrots
- Rice and Rice Cereal
- Applesauce
- Broccoli
- Avocado
- Green Beans
- Peas
- Cauliflower
- Pears
- Beans
- Beef
- Chicken
*Don't think I'm too amazing, (it really was easy and pretty common sense) but you can if you want
My awesome food processor and baby food maker!!
Zucchini and Squash
Trying to be organized (it doesn't look like this now)
The one picture I took of Will eating during my food making "photo shoot" and he's eating Gerber snacks. Just pretend it's something homemade ok?
