I know, I know! It's two days after Halloween and I haven't blogged about anything and all I have to say is...
"Back Off!! I'm getting there!"
I did wake up feeling amazing this morning, but that quickly ended when I decided to pinch a nerve in my neck. So I'm now sitting on the couch, snuggling with a fussy girl, hopped up on some pain killers and ready to blog.
Every year my wonderful friend Kellie and her husband Jake come to visit for the weekend right before Halloween and this year was no exception. Since last year was canceled due to the Van Voorst flood, it was nice to get back to tradition.
The kids loved J & K and of course they loved my kids (who wouldn't?).
We spent our weekend hanging out, eating amazing peanut butter chocolate chip brownies I found on pinterest, running around at the pumpkin patch and carving amazing pumpkins.
Will had a blast at the pumpkin patch, since the last time he was there was when he looked like this...
It was so fun going on the hay ride, watching Will be super excited about the tractor
and running around touching every pumpkin, searching for that perfect one.
But his favorite part was definitely the puddles. (Let me just say how awesome his face is in this shot.)
He helped Daddy for a little bit but got bored after a while and decided to run crazy through the house instead.
For Halloween night, Will was supposed to be a PE teacher like his Daddy and Mommy, but he refused to wear his whistle and stop watch. So he ended up just being an athlete. Hollyn was an Albino Zebra. I refused to buy her a costume since she was clueless anyway. Next year I'll plan ahead and we'll have more creative costumes.
I promise!
For the first few houses, we had to literally drag him, kicking and screaming to the door to get candy. Once he figured out that he gets a treat at every door he goes to then he was hooked.
By the end of the night, he was a pro and had a professional meltdown when he realized we were going home.
I'm not a fan of freezing my hind end off. Was it really this cold when we were little??
My little albino zebra. Is there anything cuter?? I think not!
