The Spud State

I decided before the baby comes that Timo and I needed to take one last vacation to spend time together and for some reason Yellowstone National Park was on my mind. So last Tuesday we loaded up our car and Kenya and headed down to my parents (yes, I know that we were going the wrong direction). Mom had said that if she can come too and stay with one of her closest friends that she would pay for gas and food. Good deal for us, and Kenya can stay home with Dad and his dog Glenna. So we left early Wednesday morning for the long drive to Idaho.

It was a 13 hour drive to Idaho Falls which was our first stop and where our friends Dave and Tamara Wulf live. They were my second family when we lived in Idaho. I was spoiled rotten by them and their farm (Dave is a potato farmer) is still one of my most favorite places.

We stayed there Thursday, where Tamara took us on a tour of Idaho Falls, and again on Sunday before we headed back home. I got to see the first house I lived in, Mom keep telling Timo it was the house I was conceived in, which embarrassed him. We went to the museum and got to learn about the Titanic and relaxed as much as we wanted to. It was so nice not having to do anything if we didn't want to.
