Best Friends and Good Times

My best friend from middle school and high school came to visit us this weekend.  Maisie drove 6 1/2 hours from the Washington/Idaho border just to hang out for the weekend and it was awesome.
I love that even after all these years it feels like no time has passed every time we get together.  We go months without seeing each other and sometimes without even talking but when we do it's natural.  We've had our ups and downs through out the years but there is no one who knows me better and I love her dearly!

Maisie brought her dog Mia for Kenya to play.  They became fast friends and did us the favor of wearing each other out.
Poor Mia couldn't even come close to keeping up with Kenya but she tried her hardest to chase Kenya (she didn't care about the stick) while Kenya ran after the stick (she didn't care about Mia when there was a stick to be had).
They did nothing but wrestle when they were inside though, much to Will's delight.  He would crack up every time the dogs started playing and loved getting double the puppy kisses.

We also met up with another friend from middle school and high school, Kelly for lunch at Old Chicago.  It was great to see her as well and the three of us enjoyed catching up and talking about old times.  We have so many great memories together.

Unfortunately, our weekend went too quickly and before we knew it, it was time for Maisie and Mia to head home.  I don't know when we'll get together again, but hopefully its' sooner rather than later.
