Oh Say Can You See...

We spent Will's first 4th of July in Independence with my parents.  Appropriately, the holiday is huge in our little town and we started the day off with breakfast at the fire station.  Then it was time for a quick nap before we headed off to watch the parade and walk through the park.

Timo was really excited that Chris Dudley walked in the parade and he got to shake his hand.  (It is pretty cool to meet a former Blazer and governor candidate, especially when he takes the time to come to our little town).  Will did amazing at the parade and only cried at one loud horn, the rest of the time he sat and watched everyone walk by and smiled and giggled at everyone who said hi to him.

We then went over to Fran and Ken Kosko's for their annual 4th of July party.  There is always amazing food, desserts and games.  And guess what!!!  I took 1st place for the desert!  Yea me!  I made a peanut butter cup and brownie trifle.  I was pretty proud of myself. :)

We had a busy but wonderful 4th. We're already looking forward to next year!
