When I first met Timo he and his best friend were obsessed with fish and their apartment was wall to wall fish tanks. When we got married we had the spare room/computer room and the fish room, once again, with wall to wall tanks (I'm talking about the giant 100 gallon tanks, not little ones, but there were lots of those too) but when Will was born, Timo had to sacrifice his love of fish so his son could have a place to sleep. I know he's dying for the day where we can have a bigger house to bring back his one true love.
So it didn't surprise me when last week we on our trip to Petco to use our 10% off coupon, I find Timo buying Will his first pet(s).
We originally had a tank in Will's room when he was born but it froze and cracked when it was stored during our flood and we haven't gotten anything to replace it. Since the fish were on sale, Timo couldn't pass them up and Will came home with five new fish.
One fell "asleep" almost immediately with three others following in the first one's footsteps over the next few days but after returning the "sleeping" fish for awake ones, we finally set up his tank.
And I'll leave you with what I found last night... Priceless!
