So if you remember, a little over a year ago we were celebrating all of our holidays in a hotel suite and by December and Christmas time, it was way beyond old and getting to the point of becoming a little depressing. I am so happy and thankful to be able to spend this Christmas in our "new" house with my wonderful family.
I recently got a request for some pictures of the new look since I haven't posted anything yet so here is the new tour!! And just in case you want to compare with how it looked when we first moved in... now you can!
Just remember that it's two days before Christmas and I'm in the middle of a cleaning/stashing things out of view mode so not everything is spotless. This is also why there is no picture of our room!! Disaster doesn't cover the mess at the moment but too bad!! The closet shelving that our contractor Darvin added are AMAZING!!!!!! You'll just have to come visit to see that part.
This is obviously the hallway looking at Hollyn's new door. We got new doors, carpets, molding, light fixtures and paint.
Everything in the bathroom is new since it took the most damage. We took advantage of the necessary remodel to add a counter and much needed storage.
We got new counters and a DISHWASHER!! One again taking advantage of the remodel. Darvin also extended the counter and added the cabinet we were going to lose because of the dishwasher to the end so we didn't lose any storage. He also added a little shelf under the lower counter where I keep my cooking books and crafts for Will.
We also were able to get rid of the giant pole that ran down the wall in our dining room and added a door between there and the laundry room. The kitchen/dining room also got new flooring.
The water heater got moved to the laundry room and put into a closet where it will NEVER flood our house again! We also put new flooring in here too!
Hollyn's room gained a closet so we got shelving and a rod in there too. Since our house has no storage at all I'll take all I can get!!
There you have it!! That's the majority of the house, minus Will's/guest room and our room (way too messy for me to take a picture). Come visit and take a real tour some day!!
