Just when we thought that all was well and Dad was on the mend, he starts having trouble again. He was actually released from the hospital Tuesday afternoon after being there for five days but he started vomiting, feeling dizzy and his temperature started spiking again so it was back in the ER Wednesday evening and he hasn't left yet. He is getting stronger antibiotics through the IV at the hospital so they want to keep him a little longer to help fight off the horrible infection that he has.
Mom has about hit her limit. She has been spending the majority of her time in the hospital with Dad, going home only to sleep. Even though they both said that I didn't need to come down I decided that it was time for William and I to come and help out.
Dad didn't know we were coming today and it was so good to see him get excited. Will, of course, was all smiles as soon as he saw Grandpa.
He even showed Grandpa his new thing of blowing raspberries. What's more fun than making cool noises and spitting all over? Especially when Grandpa does it back?? Grandpa even had cool things sticking out all over the place that were fun to grab. We had to separate him from the heart monitor before we gave the nurses a scare.
We're hoping that this will be the final time that Dad will have to be in the hospital and that he can finally get healthy. Maybe with Will's help Grandpa can finally come home.
